Stable freeze-dried vitamin complex preparation

Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled preparation suitable to be added to a high-calorific transfusion and resistant to discoloration in redissolution, by using at least one kind of compound selected from cysteine, formaldehyde sulfoxylate, their salts and sulfites as a discoloration stabilizer. CONSTITUTION: At least one kind of compound selected from cysteine, formaldehyde sulfoxylate, their salts (hydrochloride, Na salt, etc.) and sulfites is added to a vitamin complex and the mixture is freeze-dried to obtain the titled preparation having improved discoloration stability in redissolution. The amount of the discoloration stabilizer to be compounded is 1W7wt.% based on the vitamins. The above preparation can be prepared by dissolving a water-soluble vitamin in distilled water for injection, dissolving the discoloration stabilizer in the solution, adjusting the pH of the solution to 4.5W6.5 with NaOH, etc., adding an aqueous solution of a fat-soluble vitamin solubilized with a solubilizing agent in the case of adding a fat-soluble vitamin, putting the mixture into small vessels and freeze-drying the product.
